Imamat 19:12

19:12 You must not swear falsely ¹  in my name, so that you do not profane ²  the name of your God. I am the Lord.

25:51 If there are still many years, in keeping with them ⁴  he must refund most of the cost of his purchase for his redemption,

[19:12]  ² tn Heb “and you shall not profane”; NAB “thus profaning.”

[19:37]  ³ tn Heb “And you shall keep all my statutes and all my regulations and you shall do them.” This appears to be a kind of verbal hendiadys, where the first verb is a modifier of the action of the second verb (see GKC 386 §120.d, although שָׁמַר [shamar, “to keep”] is not cited there; cf. Lev 22:31).
